A study published in the Journal of Population Economics analyzed data from over 10,000 influential Chinese individuals, revealing their average lifespan is approximately 85 years, nearly seven years more than the general population's average of 78 years. The research indicated that higher social status correlated with a longer lifespan, with top Communist Party leaders living the longest. While the study did not directly attribute this difference solely to diet, it acknowledged that access to better education, economic conditions, and healthcare facilities likely contribute to increased life expectancy.
