Indians Live Longer Than Pakistanis, But Shorter Than Bangladeshis: WHO

Times of India · health

According to the latest World Health Organisation estimates, Indians can expect to live longer than Pakistanis but have shorter lifespans than people in Bangladesh. India's life expectancy at birth was 71 years in 2023, compared to 68.2 years in Pakistan and 72.7 years in Bangladesh. However, living longer does not equate to living more years in good health, as India's healthy life expectancy stood at 60.6 years. The WHO's Global Health Estimates cover life expectancy and healthy life expectancy from 2000 to 2023.
