UN Warns of Ethnic Cleansing Fears Amidst Gaza Displacement

The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights has warned that Israeli forces in Gaza are displacing Palestinians into a shrinking area, raising fears of ethnic cleansing. The OHCHR reported that Israeli forces are destroying infrastructure and attacking displacement sites, expanding their military deployment area. Repeated displacements are occurring, with little prospect of return for those affected. Since a ceasefire began on October 11, 2025, at least 1,574 people have been killed and 5,687 wounded in Gaza.
