VCK leader Thol Thirumavalavan claimed that DMK leader MK Stalin's defeat in Kolathur was due to mass voter deletions during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise. He accused the BJP of weaponising the revision process against political rivals, alleging similar manipulations against Mamata Banerjee and Pinarayi Vijayan. The INDIA bloc, including Congress and Left parties, joined the protest against the ECI and SIR. TVK minister A Rajmohan reiterated his party's long-standing opposition to the exercise.
