Delhi Imposes GRAP-3 Curbs As Air Quality Turns Severe

The Commission for Air Quality Management has imposed Stage 3 restrictions under the Graded Response Action Plan in Delhi and the National Capital Region. This precautionary measure was taken as air quality deteriorated towards the "severe" category. As of Friday evening, Delhi recorded an average AQI of 380. Twenty-five out of 58 active monitoring stations reported "severe" air quality, with one station recording "severe plus" levels. These restrictions aim to prevent further worsening of air pollution.

दिल्ली और राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र (NCR) में हवा की गुणवत्ता प्रबंधन आयोग ने ग्रेडेड रिस्पांस एक्शन प्लान (GRAP) के तहत स्टेज 3 के प्रतिबंध लागू कर दिए हैं। यह एहतियाती कदम हवा की गुणवत्ता के 'गंभीर' श्रेणी की ओर बिगड़ने के कारण उठाया गया है। शुक्रवार शाम तक दिल्ली में औसत AQI 380 दर्ज किया गया। 58 सक्रिय निगरानी स्टेशनों में से 25 ने 'गंभीर' हवा की गुणवत्ता दर्ज की, जबकि एक स्टेशन पर 'गंभीर प्लस' स्तर दर्ज किया गया। इन प्रतिबंधों का उद्देश्य वायु प्रदूषण को और बिगड़ने से रोकना है।
