Mumbai Police Files FIR Against Organisers of Thackerays' 'Garjana Morcha' March

Mumbai Police have registered an FIR against the organisers of the 'Virat Garjana Morcha' rally, stating that the march was conducted without the necessary permission. The rally, held in south Mumbai, saw MNS chief UBT chief Uddhav Thackeray demand the scrapping of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and the removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Opposition leaders present also called for unity to protect democracy and the Constitution. BJP leader Ashish Shelar criticised the joint protest.

मुंबई पुलिस ने 'विराट गर्जना मोर्चा' रैली के आयोजकों के खिलाफ FIR दर्ज की है, यह कहते हुए कि मार्च आवश्यक अनुमति के बिना आयोजित किया गया था। दक्षिण मुंबई में आयोजित रैली में MNS प्रमुख और UBT प्रमुख उद्धव ठाकरे ने चुनावी रोल के विशेष गहन संशोधन (SIR) को रद्द करने और मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार को हटाने की मांग की। उपस्थित विपक्षी नेताओं ने लोकतंत्र और संविधान की रक्षा के लिए एकता का आह्वान भी किया। भाजपा नेता आशीष शेलार ने संयुक्त विरोध की आलोचना की।
