Crude oil prices saw a significant decline of over 2% on Monday as Iranian and Qatari officials engaged in ongoing discussions to de-escalate the US-Iran conflict. Brent crude futures fell to $111 a barrel, while US WTI crude dropped to $102 a barrel. These talks aim to resolve the war that began in February. Despite recent attacks on oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, Saudi Arabia increased its crude exports. Experts predict oil markets may remain volatile due to upcoming US midterm elections.
