Bihar DGP Vinay Kumar Takes VRS, Appointed CIC

Bihar's Director General of Police, Vinay Kumar, has taken voluntary retirement from the Indian Police Service. The Home Department issued an official notification for his VRS, accepting his application under rule 16(2) of the All India Services (Death-cum-Retirement Benefits) Rules, 1958. The government waived the mandatory three-month notice period, granting his retirement immediate effect. Following his retirement, the Bihar government has appointed him as the State Chief Information Commissioner.
