Defence Pensioners Get Digital Life Certificate Services At 200 SPARSH Centres

The Defence Accounts Department has launched a nationwide campaign to facilitate digital life certificates for defence pensioners and their families. Over 200 SPARSH service centres across the country will offer these services throughout November. The initiative promotes Aadhaar-based face authentication technology, allowing pensioners to submit annual life certificates digitally via specific apps. Special assistance is available for super-senior citizens and persons with disabilities, aiming to improve pension services and accessibility, though some veterans have raised concerns about system reliability and waiting times.
