DRI Seizes Hydroponic Cannabis Worth ₹2.71 Crore At Hyderabad Airport

The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized 7.75 kg of high-grade cannabis, suspected to be hydroponic weed, valued at approximately ₹2.71 crore in the illicit market. The seizure occurred on October 12 at Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport from an Indian passenger arriving from Bangkok. DRI officers intercepted the passenger and found the contraband hidden inside an electric geyser in his check-in baggage. The substance tested positive for marijuana, and the passenger was arrested under the NDPS Act. Further investigation is underway to determine the source of the drugs.
