The Bombay High Court has directed the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to issue its final decision on the upcoming film 'Sahiya' by October 27. The producer, Sanjay Sharma, had approached the court after certification was refused on August 27, citing glorification of violence. Sharma argues the film is a love story and its message should be considered in its entirety. The application for certification was submitted on May 30, 2026, with screenings and committee reviews occurring later.
