Rajasthan Sees Slight Dip in Rural Job Scheme Person-Days Amidst Transition
Times of India · india
Rajasthan has experienced a marginal decrease in person-days generated under the new Viksit Bharat–Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Act, 2025 (VB-G-RAM-G) scheme during its first three months. The state generated 3.4 crore person-days from July to September 2026-27, compared to 3.7 crore under the previous MGNREGA scheme in the same period last year. Officials attribute the dip partly to the ongoing harvest season, with fewer people coming forward for work. Despite the lower person-days, the number of participating households increased under the new scheme.
