CJP Alleges Delhi Police Delaying Release of Leaders; FIR Filed Over Threats to Magistrate
Hindustan Times · india
The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has accused Delhi Police of intentionally delaying the release of its co-convenors Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, who are in judicial custody since October 13. CJP claims police are rejecting submitted surety bonds and providing various excuses for the delay. On Sunday, Delhi Police stated that the Special Executive Magistrate hearing the case received threats, leading to an FIR being filed. Police denied allegations of delay, asserting that due procedures are being followed. A magistrate's order is still pending for the duo's release.
