The Election Commission has removed the additional declaration related to SIR from Form-6 for voter list applications. This change is currently implemented in states and union territories where the SIR process has concluded. Previously, this extra form asked applicants if their names or their parents' names appeared in the previous voter list. Disagreements arose among election commissioners regarding this addition, with one calling it unauthorized. The EC maintains no amendment was made to Form-6 itself.
