Cyclone Murasu Nears Andhra Coast, 30 Flights Cancelled Across Four Cities

Severe cyclonic storm Murasu is approaching the Andhra Pradesh coast, causing significant disruption to air travel. At least 30 domestic flights were cancelled across Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, and Chennai on Monday. Nineteen flights were cancelled within Andhra Pradesh, while 11 services connecting Chennai with other cities were also affected. The cyclone is expected to make landfall between Nellore and Narsapur with wind speeds up to 120kmph, bringing widespread rainfall. This marks the second cyclone to impact Andhra Pradesh within a week.

गंभीर चक्रवाती तूफान मुरासु आंध्र प्रदेश के तट के पास पहुंच रहा है, जिससे हवाई यातायात में काफी बाधा आ रही है। सोमवार को विजयवाड़ा, विशाखापत्तनम, तिरुपति और चेन्नई में कम से कम 30 घरेलू उड़ानें रद्द कर दी गईं। आंध्र प्रदेश के भीतर 19 उड़ानें रद्द की गईं, जबकि चेन्नई को अन्य शहरों से जोड़ने वाली 11 सेवाएं भी प्रभावित हुईं। यह चक्रवात नेल्लोर और नरसपुर के बीच 120 किमी प्रति घंटे तक की हवा की गति के साथ landfall करने की उम्मीद है, जिससे व्यापक वर्षा होगी। यह एक सप्ताह के भीतर आंध्र प्रदेश को प्रभावित करने वाला दूसरा चक्रवात है।
