Violence and protests at Lovely Professional University (LPU) have ignited a political dispute, with leaders questioning the presence of alleged outsiders on campus and accusing the Punjab government of failing to maintain law and order. Students protested over claims of an alleged sexual assault, which escalated into stone-pelting and property damage. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke questioned how outsiders entered, while SAD leaders alleged a political conspiracy involving outsiders brought in after LPU's founder joined the BJP. The university denied a rape occurred, calling claims rumours.
