Rakul Preet Singh to play Surpanakha in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana

Rakul Preet Singh has been cast as Surpanakha in Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming film 'Ramayana'. Speaking at the trailer launch in Bengaluru, she expressed her excitement about being part of the epic adaptation. Singh praised the scale of the project and the efforts of director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra. She also commended the performances of her co-stars, including Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana. The film, planned as a two-part adaptation, is set to release its first part on November 5, 2026.

रकुल प्रीत सिंह को नितेश तिवारी की आने वाली फिल्म 'रामायण' में शूर्पणखा के रूप में लिया गया है। बेंगलुरु में ट्रेलर लॉन्च के मौके पर उन्होंने इस महाकाव्य रूपांतरण का हिस्सा बनने को लेकर अपना उत्साह व्यक्त किया। सिंह ने प्रोजेक्ट के पैमाने और निर्देशक नितेश तिवारी और निर्माता नमित मल्होत्रा के प्रयासों की सराहना की। उन्होंने अपने सह-कलाकारों के प्रदर्शन की भी प्रशंसा की, जिनमें रणबीर कपूर (राम), साई पल्लवी (सीता) और यश (रावण) शामिल हैं। दो-भागों में बनने वाली यह फिल्म अपना पहला भाग 5 नवंबर, 2026 को रिलीज करने वाली है।
