Police in Thrissur have seized approximately 700 grams of hashish oil being transported on an interstate bus. A 27-year-old man, Shyam Shashi, was arrested in connection with the seizure. The arrest occurred during a joint vehicle inspection by the DANSAF team and Peechi police as part of 'Operation Thufan'. Shashi, who previously worked as a bus cleaner, allegedly used his familiarity with bus operations to smuggle the contraband.
