Cuddalore Collector Sibi Adhithya Senthil Kumar has advised farmers to insure their Samba paddy crops under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. This is due to the possibility of reduced rainfall this year caused by El Nino and climate change. The premium is set at ₹584 per acre, with the enrollment deadline on November 16, 2026. Insured farmers can receive compensation if drought prevents sowing or germination in over 75% of notified areas. Applicants need to submit specific documents including their proposal form and Aadhaar-linked bank details.

कुड्डलोर कलेक्टर सिबी आदित्य सेंथिल कुमार ने किसानों को प्रधानमंत्री फसल बीमा योजना के तहत अपनी सांबा धान की फसलों का बीमा कराने की सलाह दी है। ऐसा इस साल अल नीनो और जलवायु परिवर्तन के कारण बारिश में कमी की संभावना के चलते है। प्रीमियम ₹584 प्रति एकड़ तय किया गया है, और नामांकन की अंतिम तिथि 16 नवंबर, 2026 है। बीमाकृत किसानों को सूखा पड़ने पर मुआवजा मिल सकता है यदि 75% से अधिक अधिसूचित क्षेत्रों में बुवाई या अंकुरण नहीं हो पाता है। आवेदकों को अपने प्रस्ताव फॉर्म और आधार से जुड़े बैंक विवरण सहित विशिष्ट दस्तावेज जमा करने होंगे।
