Punjab Activist's Kin Refuse Cremation; Amit Shah Vows Drug-Free State

The family of slain Punjab anti-drug activist Parvinder Singh, alias Jhota, has refused to conduct his cremation for seven days, demanding a CBI investigation into his murder. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has now announced the state government will hand over the probe to the CBI. Union Home Minister Amit Shah met with Jhota's family and relatives of two other activists killed recently.

पंजाब के मारे गए नशा विरोधी कार्यकर्ता परविंदर सिंह, उर्फ झोटा के परिवार ने उनकी हत्या की CBI जांच की मांग करते हुए सात दिनों तक उनके अंतिम संस्कार से इनकार कर दिया है। पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री भगवंत मान ने अब घोषणा की है कि राज्य सरकार यह जांच CBI को सौंपेगी। केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने झोटा के परिवार और हाल ही में मारे गए दो अन्य कार्यकर्ताओं के रिश्तेदारों से मुलाकात की।
