Exide Industries Q2 Profit Surges 65%, Battery Share Jumps Over 7%

Exide Industries reported a significant 65% year-on-year increase in net profit for the September quarter, reaching ₹287 crore compared to ₹174 crore last year. This strong performance boosted the company's stock, which surged over 7% to ₹373.70. Revenue also saw a healthy 21.3% rise to ₹5,292 crore. The company attributed its improved margins and growth to cost-cutting measures, strategic pricing, increased sales volume, and effective 'One Exide' operational model, despite geopolitical tensions impacting raw material costs.
