Police have registered a non-cognisable offence against a sevekari at Kolhapur's Mahalaxmi temple following allegations of manhandling devotees. A group of women claimed the attendant, Priya Joshi, aggressively pushed them and shouted while asking them to vacate an area. The confrontation escalated into a scuffle, with one devotee alleging her child's hearing aid was damaged and the child was slapped. The incident, captured on CCTV, has also sparked controversy over misleading captions circulating with the footage on social media.
