17 Medical College Students Suspended For Ragging And Indiscipline

MGMMCH authorities have suspended 17 students for ragging and indiscipline following an inquiry by its anti-ragging committee. The action was taken after eight first-year students complained to the National Medical Commission about mental harassment and inappropriate remarks from seniors. Fourteen students are from the 2024-25 batch and three from the 2025-26 batch. They have been ordered to vacate hostels, fined Rs 25,000 each, and suspended from classes for 15 days. Eight students are barred from third-semester exams, and all 17 are prohibited from representing the college for two years.

MGMMCH के अधिकारियों ने अपनी एंटी-रैगिंग समिति की जांच के बाद रैगिंग और अनुशासनहीनता के आरोप में 17 छात्रों को निलंबित कर दिया है। यह कार्रवाई आठ प्रथम वर्ष के छात्रों द्वारा नेशनल मेडिकल कमीशन में वरिष्ठों द्वारा मानसिक उत्पीड़न और अनुचित टिप्पणियों की शिकायत करने के बाद की गई। चौदह छात्र 2024-25 बैच के हैं और तीन छात्र 2025-26 बैच के हैं। उन्हें हॉस्टल खाली करने, प्रत्येक पर 25,000 रुपये का जुर्माना लगाने और 15 दिनों के लिए कक्षाओं से निलंबित करने का आदेश दिया गया है। आठ छात्रों को तीसरे सेमेस्टर की परीक्षाओं से प्रतिबंधित कर दिया गया है, और सभी 17 छात्रों को दो साल के लिए कॉलेज का प्रतिनिधित्व करने से रोक दिया गया है।
