Indian captain Shubman Gill experienced a disappointing return to the Ranji Trophy, scoring just one run before being clean bowled. Playing for Punjab against Chhattisgarh, the 27-year-old faced only five balls. The dismissal came from left-arm spinner Ajay Mandal, who struck Gill's stumps. This performance occurs just before India's six-week tour of New Zealand, which includes a five-match ODI series and a two-match Test series.
