The Karnataka Cabinet has approved an additional ₹1,118 crore to complete a 134-km road project connecting several key areas of Bengaluru, including the international airport. The project's cost has escalated from an initial ₹2,290 crore to ₹3,409 crore due to implementation changes, land acquisition, and rising prices. This additional funding aims to expedite construction, particularly on the congested Gunjur-Varthur stretch, which has caused significant inconvenience to commuters. The Cabinet expressed dissatisfaction with project delays and instructed officials to ensure its early completion.
