A Dalit youth named Prem Birhade, based in London, has alleged that he lost a job opportunity in the UK due to caste discrimination originating from his Pune college. He claims the Modern College of Arts, Science and Commerce failed to provide a verification certificate to the prospective employer in time. The college has denied the allegations, stating they issued a bona fide certificate on October 14 and that their refusal was based on institutional norms. Activists protested the college, with claims of a criminal complaint being considered.

लंदन में रहने वाले प्रेम बिरहाड़े नाम के एक दलित युवक ने आरोप लगाया है कि पुणे के कॉलेज की वजह से उसे यूके में नौकरी का मौका गंवाना पड़ा। उसका कहना है कि मॉडर्न कॉलेज ऑफ आर्ट्स, साइंस एंड कॉमर्स ने समय पर कंपनी को वेरिफिकेशन सर्टिफिकेट नहीं दिया। कॉलेज ने आरोपों से इनकार किया है। कॉलेज का कहना है कि उन्होंने 14 अक्टूबर को बोनाफाइड सर्टिफिकेट जारी कर दिया था और उन्होंने अपनी संस्थागत नियमों के आधार पर मना किया था। कार्यकर्ताओं ने कॉलेज के बाहर प्रदर्शन किया और कहा कि वे क्रिमिनल कंप्लेंट पर विचार कर रहे हैं।
