India Begins Domestic Production Of All-Terrain Vehicles For Army

India has taken a significant step towards domestic production of specialized all-terrain vehicles for its army. Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and British company BAE Systems commenced production of 18 BvS10 'Sindhu' articulated all-terrain vehicles at L&T's facility in Surat. These vehicles are designed to operate in extreme conditions, including snow, mud, and water, and can function at altitudes up to 18,000 feet in temperatures as low as minus 55 degrees Celsius, and endure heat up to 55 degrees Celsius in desert terrains.

भारत ने अपनी सेना के लिए विशेष ऑल-टेरेन वाहनों के घरेलू उत्पादन की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम उठाया है। लार्सन एंड टुब्रो (L&T) और ब्रिटिश कंपनी BAE सिस्टम्स ने सूरत में L&T की सुविधा में 18 BvS10 'सिंधु' आर्टिकुलेटेड ऑल-टेरेन वाहनों का उत्पादन शुरू किया है। ये वाहन अत्यधिक परिस्थितियों में काम करने के लिए डिज़ाइन किए गए हैं, जिनमें बर्फ, कीचड़ और पानी शामिल हैं, और ये 18,000 फीट की ऊंचाई पर माइनस 55 डिग्री सेल्सियस तक के तापमान में और रेगिस्तानी इलाकों में 55 डिग्री सेल्सियस तक की गर्मी में भी काम कर सकते हैं।
