Putin Rules Out Ukraine Ceasefire, Warns West Against Escalation

Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that Russia will not agree to a ceasefire with Ukraine, despite stepped-up aerial attacks. He dismissed a proposal for a reciprocal halt to strikes on energy facilities, noting that Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil refineries had cost the country 1 percent of its GDP. Putin also warned the West against escalating the conflict, particularly concerning the Kaliningrad exclave, and suggested Russia would defend it with all available weapons if necessary.
