India's Deeptech Funding Surges 2.8X YoY In Q3 2026

Inc42 · startup

India's deeptech startups secured $290 million in funding across 28 deals during Q3 2026, marking a significant 176% year-on-year increase. This surge occurred despite a slight decrease in the overall number of deals, indicating capital concentration in fewer, larger investments. Spacetech startups, particularly Pixxel with its $100 million round, accounted for a substantial portion of this funding. The growth is partly attributed to government initiatives like the ₹1 Lakh Cr Research, Development and Innovation Fund, aiming to boost private investment in technology-led businesses.
