Investigators seized equipment including routers, a computer, and mobile phones, with digital data currently under analysis. उत्तराखंड स्पेशल टास्क फोर्स (STF) ने काशीपुर में एक कथित अवैध टेलीकॉम एक्सचेंज का भंडाफोड़ किया है और नईमउद्दीन नाम के एक व्यक्ति को गिरफ्तार किया है। यह कार्रवाई तकनीकी इनपुट के बाद हुई, जिसमें संकेत मिला था कि 21 दिनों में इस सेटअप के ज़रिए 45,453 आउटगोइंग कॉल की गईं, जिस पर अंतरराष्ट्रीय लॉन्ग-डिस्टेंस गेटवे को बायपास करने का शक है। जांचकर्ताओं ने राउटर, एक कंप्यूटर और मोबाइल फोन सहित उपकरण जब्त किए हैं, और डिजिटल डेटा का विश्लेषण किया जा रहा है। STF साइबर धोखाधड़ी से संभावित संबंधों की जांच कर रही है और हाल ही में इसी तरह के अवैध सेटअप से संबंधित कई मामले दर्ज किए हैं।
