Jaipur residents are raising concerns over the door-to-door garbage collection system, reporting irregular waste pickups and bills issued for multiple months at once without a clear breakdown. Despite a fixed monthly fee, citizens cannot verify how charges are calculated. Private companies contracted by the Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC) are responsible for collection and fee recovery, but residents allege bills arrive late, often covering three to eight months with only a total amount due. JMC officials state that monthly billing is mandatory and promise action against companies issuing consolidated bills.
