UP Congress Chief Resigns, Says No Pressure From Party Leadership

Former Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Rai has stated that he was not asked to resign and no pressure was put on him by the party. He congratulated the new state chief, Aradhana Mishra 'Mona', and expressed hope that she would lead the Congress to greater heights. Rai thanked the central leadership, especially Rahul Gandhi, for giving him the opportunity to lead and contest against Narendra Modi. He claimed that under his leadership, the Congress secured 4.60 lakh votes in Varanasi, even leading for seven rounds.

पूर्व उत्तर प्रदेश कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष अजय राय ने कहा है कि उनसे इस्तीफा देने के लिए नहीं कहा गया था और पार्टी की ओर से उन पर कोई दबाव नहीं डाला गया था। उन्होंने नई प्रदेश अध्यक्ष, आराधना मिश्रा 'मोना' को बधाई दी और उम्मीद जताई कि वह कांग्रेस को नई ऊंचाइयों पर ले जाएंगी। राय ने उन्हें नेतृत्व करने और नरेंद्र मोदी के खिलाफ चुनाव लड़ने का अवसर देने के लिए केंद्रीय नेतृत्व, खासकर राहुल गांधी को धन्यवाद दिया। उन्होंने दावा किया कि उनके नेतृत्व में कांग्रेस ने वाराणसी में 4.60 लाख वोट हासिल किए, और सात राउंड तक बढ़त भी बनाई।
