Allegations of medical negligence have surfaced following the sudden death of a 40-year-old man at Kalamassery Medical College Hospital in Ernakulam. The patient, P.S. Haleelur Rahman, who was recovering from leg fracture surgery and awaiting discharge, reportedly collapsed after returning from the bathroom. His family alleges a delay in emergency medical care, including CPR, after he started sweating profusely and lost consciousness. Hospital authorities stated the death could be due to a heart attack and an autopsy is pending. A five-member committee has been formed to investigate the incident.
