Bangalore Turf Club Allowed To Keep 4 Acres On Race Course Road For 30 Years

The Karnataka state cabinet has approved a 30-year lease for four acres of land on BTC. This land houses the club's clubhouse and heritage building, and the lease is part of the larger plan to shift the BTC to Kunigal Stud Farm. The government will collect rent at 2% of the club's annual revenue, retrospectively from 2010. The club has been asked to complete its relocation within two to three years. The reclaimed land is being considered for a new court complex.
