Urban Indians Consume Less Protein Daily, Study Reveals

Times of India · health

A PepsiCo study indicates over 70% of urban Indians consume less than 41g of protein daily, falling short of bodily requirements. Shockingly, more than half are aware of their needs but are hindered by cost and convenience. The research highlights that protein powders are increasingly expensive, adding to the challenge. While milk, curd, dal-rice, peanuts, and sprouted pulses offer varying protein amounts per cup, meeting daily targets remains difficult for many.
