Indian Rupee Gains 23 Paise Against US Dollar in Early Trade
The Hindu - Business · business
The Indian rupee appreciated by 23 paise to trade at 96.65 against the U.S. dollar in early trade on Friday. This rise was supported by a slight softening in the U.S. dollar and suspected intervention by the Reserve Bank of India. Forex traders noted the rupee opened positively as the dollar index fell to 102 levels. Despite this gain, broader geopolitical pressures and persistent foreign fund outflows continue to exert pressure on the domestic currency.
