European interior ministers convened in Munich to discuss strengthening the bloc's migration policy and external borders. The meeting focused on refining the European Migration Pact and accelerating deportations. Several nations, including Germany, Denmark, Austria, the Netherlands, and Greece, are exploring the creation of deportation centers in third countries. Germany aims to secure a deal with an African or Asian nation by year-end to manage asylum seeker returns more effectively.
