Artificial Intelligence can significantly enhance criminal investigations by accelerating evidence analysis and identifying patterns, experts stated during a session at the Uttar Pradesh State Institute of Forensic Science. While AI is a powerful tool for processing vast amounts of information, it cannot substitute human expertise or alter legal standards for evidence. The authenticity and reliability of findings must still be verified through conventional forensic and legal procedures.
