A contempt petition has been filed in the Supreme Court against the DMRC for allegedly ignoring court orders regarding metro station closures. Petitioner advocate Shailendra Mani Tripathi claims that despite the Supreme Court's directive to keep services operational, DMRC kept several station gates shut. The court had previously instructed that transport services should not be completely halted, emphasizing controlled operations to avoid public inconvenience. Initially, 57 stations were planned for closure, later reduced to 45, but the petitioner alleges continued violations.
