Over 20 individuals in Visakhapatnam have lost a collective ₹1 crore in a single month to a sophisticated 'Google Review' scam. Cyber fraudsters lured victims with promises of easy earnings, manipulating them into making multiple transactions. Victims were initially paid small amounts for reviews, then encouraged to invest more for higher returns. When victims attempted to withdraw funds, fraudsters claimed errors or low credit scores, demanding further deposits. The cybercrime police have registered a case and are investigating to identify the perpetrators and recover the lost money.

विशाखापत्तनम में 20 से ज़्यादा लोगों ने एक महीने में एक 'गूगल रिव्यू' स्कैम में कुल ₹1 करोड़ गंवा दिए। साइबर ठगों ने आसान कमाई का लालच देकर पीड़ितों को कई बार पैसे ट्रांसफर करवाए। शुरुआत में पीड़ितों को रिव्यू के लिए थोड़ी रकम दी गई, फिर ज़्यादा मुनाफे के लिए ज़्यादा निवेश करने को कहा गया। जब पीड़ितों ने पैसे निकालने की कोशिश की, तो ठगों ने एरर या कम क्रेडिट स्कोर का बहाना बनाकर और पैसे जमा करने को कहा। साइबर क्राइम पुलिस ने मामला दर्ज कर लिया है और अपराधियों की पहचान कर लूटी गई रकम बरामद करने की जांच कर रही है।
