Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has criticized Uddhav Thackeray's remarks on 'regime change', stating that in India, power transitions occur through elections, not street protests. Fadnavis reminded Thackeray that he couldn't even prevent a 'regime change' within his own Shiv Sena party. He emphasized that democratic change in India is governed by the constitution and parliamentary processes, unlike in countries like Nepal or Bangladesh. Thackeray had earlier supported the idea of struggling for regime change if democratic rights like protest and expression are suppressed.
