The court aims to curb noise and air pollution in densely populated cities like Mumbai, Pune, and Nashik, directing authorities to enforce the ban.

बॉम्बे हाई कोर्ट ने महाराष्ट्र में त्योहारों के दौरान सार्वजनिक सड़कों पर पटाखों और लेजर लाइट के इस्तेमाल पर रोक लगा दी है। आयोजकों को समूहों के लिए ₹1 लाख और व्यक्तियों के लिए ₹50,000 जमा कराने होंगे, जो शोर सीमा उल्लंघन पर जब्त हो जाएंगे। साउंड लिमिटर और डेसिबल मीटर लगाना ज़रूरी है। कोर्ट का मकसद मुंबई, पुणे, नासिक जैसे शहरों में शोर और वायु प्रदूषण कम करना है।
