Flydubai Pilot Recounts Cockpit Attack, Fearing for Life

Flydubai pilot Captain Smit Machar has recounted a harrowing incident where he was attacked inside the cockpit, fearing for his life. He described losing consciousness repeatedly after a severe blow to his head. Machar stated he realized he had to act, refusing to accept his death. The co-pilot attacked him from behind while Machar had turned away respectfully during the co-pilot's request to pray. Despite his injuries, Machar attempted to open the cockpit door to alert passengers and crew, eventually succeeding and allowing others to intervene.
