Experts Urge Specialised Care For Persistent Pain

Pain specialists are highlighting the need for specialised care for chronic pain that continues after an injury has healed. A 42-year-old woman experienced severe pain months after a fractured wrist healed, later diagnosed as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. At Victoria Hospital, over 1,200 patients have undergone specialised pain-relieving procedures since June 2023. The Karnataka Chapter of the Indian Society for Study of Pain is running a campaign urging people to seek expert.

दर्द के विशेषज्ञ बता रहे हैं कि चोट ठीक होने के बाद भी जो पुराना दर्द बना रहता है, उसके लिए खास देखभाल की ज़रूरत है। एक 42 साल की महिला को कलाई की चोट ठीक होने के कई महीने बाद भी बहुत दर्द था, जिसे कॉम्प्लेक्स रीजनल पेन सिंड्रोम बताया गया। Victoria Hospital में जून 2023 से 1,200 से ज़्यादा मरीज़ दर्द निवारक खास इलाज करवा चुके हैं।
