Israeli bulldozers demolished Sufyan al-Qawasmi's ceramic and marble factories in Hebron on Friday, destroying a 50-year-old family business without prior warning. The demolitions followed a shooting attack that killed two Israeli soldiers and two Palestinian gunmen. The Israeli Finance Minister justified the action as establishing deterrence. The destruction resulted in losses estimated at 60 million shekels ($19 million) and impacted the livelihoods of over 70 people. The Israeli military also conducted raids, arrests, and forced evacuations in the city.
