Weeks after the Reserve Bank of India raised concerns, a parliamentary panel has proposed the creation of a dedicated cryptocurrency watchdog. This recommendation comes at a time when cryptocurrencies are taxed in India. Crypto exchanges are already mandated to share transaction data with anti-money laundering authorities. The move aims to enhance regulatory oversight and address potential risks associated with digital assets.

भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक की चिंताओं के हफ्तों बाद, एक संसदीय समिति ने क्रिप्टोकरेंसी पर नज़र रखने के लिए एक समर्पित संस्था बनाने का सुझाव दिया है। यह सिफारिश ऐसे समय आई है जब भारत में क्रिप्टोकरेंसी पर टैक्स लग रहा है। पहले से ही क्रिप्टो एक्सचेंजों के लिए यह ज़रूरी है कि वे मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग विरोधी अधिकारियों के साथ लेन-देन का डेटा साझा करें। इस कदम का मकसद नियमों की निगरानी बढ़ाना और डिजिटल संपत्तियों से जुड़े संभावित जोखिमों को दूर करना है।
