Nepal Flood Death Toll Exceeds 1,400

Nepal's National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority reported that the death toll from the August 26 flood has reached 1,403. Over 6,150 people are still missing, including more than 600 foreign nationals. Rescuers have saved over 13,700 individuals amidst ongoing debris clearing efforts. The disaster, triggered by an avalanche near the Chinese border, sent a torrent of rock and debris down a riverbed, devastating communities across a large area.

नेपाल की राष्ट्रीय आपदा जोखिम न्यूनीकरण और प्रबंधन प्राधिकरण ने बताया कि 26 अगस्त की बाढ़ से मरने वालों की संख्या 1,403 हो गई है। 6,150 से ज़्यादा लोग अभी भी लापता हैं, जिनमें 600 से ज़्यादा विदेशी नागरिक शामिल हैं। बचाव दल ने 13,700 से ज़्यादा लोगों को बचाया है और मलबा हटाने का काम जारी है। चीनी सीमा के पास हिमस्खलन से आई इस आपदा ने बड़े इलाके में तबाही मचाई।
