Villagers Create Spiked Collars To Protect Dogs From Leopards

Residents in Bijnor district, Uttar Pradesh, are facing a growing threat from leopards venturing into villages. To protect their pet dogs from leopard attacks, villagers have devised a unique, homemade solution. They have created special collars made of strong leather or straps, fitted with numerous long, sharp iron spikes pointing outwards. The intention is that if a leopard attempts to bite a dog's neck, the spikes will injure its mouth, deterring the attack and allowing the dog to escape.

उत्तर प्रदेश के बिजनौर जिले में ग्रामीण तेंदुओं के गांवों में घुसने के बढ़ते खतरे का सामना कर रहे हैं। अपने पालतू कुत्तों को तेंदुए के हमलों से बचाने के लिए, ग्रामीणों ने एक अनोखा, घर का बना समाधान निकाला है। उन्होंने मजबूत चमड़े या पट्टियों से बने विशेष कॉलर बनाए हैं, जिनमें बाहर की ओर इशारा करते हुए कई लंबे, नुकीले लोहे के कांटे लगे हैं। इसका इरादा यह है कि अगर तेंदुआ कुत्ते की गर्दन पर काटने की कोशिश करे, तो कांटे उसके मुंह को घायल कर देंगे, जिससे हमला रुक जाएगा और कुत्ता भाग सकेगा।
