Punjab Records 175 Farm Fires, 317 FIRs; 490 Officials Issued Notices

Punjab recorded 175 farm fires on Sunday, the second-highest daily count this season, bringing the total to 1,514. The state accounted for over 71% of the 245 farm fires reported across seven states that day. Enforcement measures led to 317 FIRs being registered, with Tarn Taran district reporting the most cases and FIRs. Environmental compensation of Rs 22.9 lakh was imposed, and warning notices were issued to 490 nodal and supervisory officers. Farm fires have been reported from all 23 districts of Punjab.

रविवार को पंजाब में पराली जलाने की 175 घटनाएं दर्ज हुईं, जो इस सीजन में दैनिक गिनती में दूसरी सबसे बड़ी संख्या है, जिससे कुल संख्या 1,514 हो गई है। उस दिन सात राज्यों में रिपोर्ट की गई 245 पराली जलाने की घटनाओं में से 71% से अधिक के लिए राज्य जिम्मेदार था। प्रवर्तन उपायों के कारण 317 FIR दर्ज की गईं, जिसमें तरन तारन जिले में सबसे अधिक मामले और FIR दर्ज किए गए। 22.9 लाख रुपये का पर्यावरण मुआवजा लगाया गया, और 490 नोडल और पर्यवेक्षी अधिकारियों को चेतावनी नोटिस जारी किए गए। पंजाब के सभी 23 जिलों से पराली जलाने की घटनाएं बताई गई हैं।
