2002 से महिला ग्राम उद्योग सेवा समिति से जुड़े संजय मिश्रा ने 13,000 से ज़्यादा महिलाओं और उनके परिवारों को रोज़गार के अवसर दिए हैं। 1994 में राधिका मिश्रा द्वारा स्थापित यह संगठन महिलाओं को ट्रेनिंग देकर और सरकारी योजनाओं से जोड़कर उन्हें आत्मनिर्भर बनाने का लक्ष्य रखता है। शुरुआत में मुश्किलें आईं, लेकिन मिश्रा ने समुदाय के सहयोग से काम जारी रखा और फिर सरकारी पहलों का लाभ उठाया। उनका मौजूदा मिशन सरकारी कल्याणकारी कार्यक्रमों और लाभार्थियों के बीच की खाई को पाटना है, ताकि ज़्यादा से ज़्यादा महिलाओं और लड़कियों को सशक्त बनाया जा सके।
